Using this book
The book is free to read online, and I want it used. This page says what you can do with it without asking me, and what to ask about first.
Free for everyone
- Read it, and link to it. Link to any chapter or section, from anywhere.
For teaching
If you teach a course, you may do the following without asking, as long as your students do not pay extra for the material:
- Share the chapter PDFs with your own students, unchanged.
- Put figures on your slides, with a credit line: Figure 2.4, from Modern Algorithm Design by Mario Brcic, modernalgorithmdesign.com.
- Use the exercises. Copy them into your course system, and adapt them to your course, with the same kind of credit.
Ask me first
- Posting the text, or large parts of it, anywhere else.
- Printing copies to sell, or including the book in paid material: commercial courses, training, course packs sold to students.
Write to me through mariobrcic.com/contact.
